Abstract

|
In acute renal failure the objectives of therapy are to maintain normal body fluid volume and electrolyte concentration, reduce tissue catabolism to a minimum, and prevent infection until healing occurs.
Principles of management of water and electrolyte balance which is most important problem in acute renal failure is briefly reviewed in this paper.
